Bible Prophecy, in General, why should you care?:

God, in the Bible, says that he tells us of things before they happen, so that when they happen, we know that He already told us so beforehand, so we know that He alone is God because only God stands outside of time and so only He knows the future.

Why is it that ONLY God knows the future, NOT fortunetellers or mystics or tarot readers who are liars?

How do we know that only God alone can know the future, and not the “spirits” or the Devil? Easy…, if the Devil knew the future, he never would have killed Jesus. By killing Jesus, the Devil sealed his fate as God wrote it in the Bible.

The Bible says there are only two “spirits” on earth: His Holy Spirit, and the spirit of the Devil. There is only ONE Holy Spirit, but there are many false spirits of the Devil roaming the earth trying to get us to believe them.

Don’t be deceived by false spirits of the Devil, even if they appear to be angelic and holy and true:

For the Bible says that “even Satan appears as an angel of light,” (2 Corinthians 11:13-15) but that “Satan prowls around the earth as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour,” (1 Peter 5:8) and “Satan is a liar and the father of lies,” and he “has been a murderer from the beginning,” (John 8:42-47) and Satan’s only mission is to “steal, kill, and destroy”. (John 10:10)

God calls us to always TEST the spirits to see whether it is His Holy Spirit or the spirit of the anti-christ / the Devil. The Bible says that anything that does not confess the name of Jesus as Lord is not of God, but of the Devil. (1 John 4:1-6)

The rebirth of the nation of Israel is our assurance that God keeps His word to Us and is coming again!

An easy way to know these days that God is still very much real and very much in control of our world: Israel is a Country again.

In the book of Ezekiel, God clearly prophesied through the prophet that at some point in the future, God Himself would re-establish the Jewish people in their Biblical homeland of Israel.

  • … The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord , and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones. Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry. And He said to me, ‘Son of man, can these bones live?’

Again He said to me, ‘Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God to these bones: ‘Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. … Then you shall know that I am the Lord .’ … As I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone. Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them. Also He said to me, ‘Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man, and say to the breath, ‘Thus says the Lord God: ‘Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live.’ So I prophesied as He commanded me, and breath came into them, and they lived, and stood upon their feet, an exceedingly great army. Then He said to me, ‘Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, ‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’ Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord , have spoken it and performed it,’ says the Lord .

    (Ezekiel 37:1-14.)

God re-established Israel again as a nation on May 14th, 1948.

Israel’s rebirth as a nation is not only miraculous, but unheard of ever before in history:

In history, no nation has ever been conquered and re-established in their own land as many times as the nation of Israel. No nation has ever been displaced from their land, and disbursed across the globe for hundreds of years, yet maintained their cultural identity, their native language, and returned to their homeland after being gone for so long. The nation of Israel, coming home to the land of Israel, speaking the Hebrew language, and maintaining Jewish customs and traditions after being displaced for hundreds of years is a miracle of God.

Jesus has already fulfilled half of the Bible prophecies spoken about the Jewish Messiah:

In Jesus’ first coming, He fulfilled more than half of all of the Old Testament scriptures’ prophecies about Him. Some examples are:

  • Jesus became the Passover Lamb.

  • Jesus was sinless and became the Unleavened Bread.

  • Jesus became the First Fruits when he resurrected from the dead.

  • Jesus became the Pentecost or Feast of Weeks when he gave His Holy Spirit to His apostles after His death and resurrection.

  • Jesus the Messiah was born in Bethlehem.

  • Jesus was born to Mary and Joseph who were both of the lineage of King David, of the tribe of Judah, son of Jacob, son of Isaac, son of Abraham.

  • After Jesus’ birth, Mary and Joseph were forced to flee to Egypt for a time to avoid King Herod’s decree to kill all the male children because he heard about the birth of Messiah and wanted to kill Jesus. So, when God called Joseph to bring Mary and Jesus from Egypt back home to Israel, Jesus fulfilled the prophecy that God called His Son out of Egypt.

  • Jesus was raised in Nazareth fulfilling the prophecy that Messiah would be a Nazarene.

  • Jesus died by crucifixion as predicted.

  • Jesus died to atone for the sins of His people, the Jews.

  • The Jewish people’s overall rejection of Jesus as Messiah fulfilled prophecy, and also fulfilled the prophecy that Jesus the Jewish Messiah would then go on to become the “light” to the entire Gentile world.

Two-thirds of the Bible is prophecy, which has come true already or is coming true now as we speak:

God’s Word is filled with prophecy. In fact, some two-thirds (2/3) or 66% of the Bible is prophecy. Most has been fulfilled by Jesus’ first coming, as described. But Jesus will fulfill the remaining prophecies during the rapture of His Church, during the Great Tribulation, and upon His second return with the Church.

Regardless your position on the timeline of Jesus’ rapture of the Church and of the Great Tribulation, Bible believing Christians believe both events will happen.

Ezekiel 38 and Isaiah 17 prophecies are about to be fulfilled any day now:

Evangelical Christians believe that the prophecies set forth in Ezekiel 38 and in Isaiah 17 could happen any day now based upon what is happening in the Middle East today.

Isaiah 17 predicts the destruction of Damascus, Syria:

Isaiah 17 predicts the complete destruction of the city of Damascus in Syria. Damascus is one of the oldest cities in the world, which has never been completely destroyed. However, God predicts Damascus will literally be uninhabitable. Damascus is presently surrounded on all sides by hostile forces and could be destroyed any day now.

Ezekiel 38 predicts a multi-nation attack on Israel:

Ezekiel 38 predicts that after God re-establishes His people back into the land of Israel, and when they are living safely, in un-walled villages, living without bars or gates to keep them safe, several countries will attack Israel. These countries are specifically named (using Old Testament names). They are, Gog, prince of Rosh, of the land of Magog (Russia). Meshech and Tubal (Part of Turkey). Persia (Iran). Ethiopia (Sudan). Gomer and Togarmah (Turkey). (Ezekiel 38:2 - 6, 8, 11.)

Never before in history have these specific countries ever been all surrounding Israel and ready to attack Israel at the same time. And, ironically, despite some of these countries like Iran previously wanting to destroy Israel for being Jewish (to destroy the “name of Israel”). Ezekiel 38 says these countries are going to come against Israel to take their riches, their “spoils”. Israel has never been as prosperous as it is now, especially in comparison to its neighbors, who are now jealous and ready to attack to take Israel’s riches.

Also ironically, despite Saudi Arabia’s prior long-standing hatred of the Jewish people and Israel, Saudi Arabia and the Emirates have recently struck peace accords with Israel and the countries are permitting their citizens to travel freely between the countries and have re-engaged in trading. Ezekiel 38 predicts that despite those other countries coming against Israel to attempt to plunder its riches, only Saudi Arabia and the Emirates (Sheba and Dedan) will stand for Israel and do anything about how it is wrong to do that to Israel.

Finally, despite Israel being militarily strong now, it will not be Israel’s military who defends Israel against this attack in Ezekiel 38: It is God alone who defends Israel, supernaturally. The events of that day, which may happen at any moment, will be catastrophic with great earthquakes, hail, fire, raining fire brimstone, and mountains will crumble. The entire world will see and understand that God Himself saved Israel from destruction.

Considering all of the countries mentioned above are literally surrounding Israel right now, the Ezekiel 38 prophecy could happen any minute now.

United States does not help Israel during Ezekiel 38:

Also interesting to note about the Ezekiel 38 prophecy: The Bible does not say the name “United States of America” as a country that will actively help Israel in its time of need during the Ezekiel 38 attack.

The Ezekiel 38 prophecy does not mention the United States by name.

In Ezekiel 38, it says that along with Saudi Arabia (Sheba and Dedan), the “merchants of Tarshish and all of their young lions” will also question the motives of the attacking countries.

Although we do not know for certain, Bible scholars believe that Tarshish was a merchant trader of tin. Since England is a country known for its mining and trading of tin, scholars believe that England could be the country called Tarshish in the Bible. And, therefore, the reference to the young lions of England could be a reference to the United States and Australia, which are superpower countries formed out of England.

Current United States political agenda is against Israel:

Nevertheless, even if the United States could be considered to be a young lion of Tarshish, the Bible is clear that the United States does not actively help Israel when it is attacked.

Never since the United States helped Israel become a nation again in 1948, except perhaps under the Obama Administration, has any United States Presidential Administration’s stance been against supporting Israel. This, of course fulfills Bible prophecy in and of itself.

Bible predicts the destruction of the United States if it does not stand for Israel:

The Bible calls all of us to support Israel, “as the apple of God’s eye,” (Zechariah 2:8) and to always be praying for the peace of Jerusalem. (Psalm 122:6) We are to Stand for Israel. If we stand for Israel, we will be blessed says the Bible. If we do not stand for Israel, we will be cursed. (Genesis 12:3)

Rapture of the church is clearly predicted in Bible:

Many Old and New Testament scriptures describe the rapture of the church. Both the Old and New Testament scriptures make clear that men are not appointed to know the day nor the hour of the rapture of the Church, which ensures we always remain steadfastly reliant upon Jesus and keep a strong relationship with Him through prayer, worship, and faith.

Although we do not know the day nor the hour, we are in the time and season for the Rapture as foretold by Jesus:

But, Jesus did give us some clues as to the “season” in which the rapture could happen. As discussed above, Ezekial 38 and Isaiah 17 are clues. Jesus said:

  • … So they asked Jesus, saying, ‘Teacher, but when will these things be? And what sign will there be when these things are about to take place?’ But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately.’ Then He said to them, ‘Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven. … And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. … Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. ‘And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.’ Then He spoke to them a parable: ‘Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near. Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” (Luke 21: 7, 9-11, 17, 24-33.)

Jesus said that the generation that sees the rebirth of Israel as a nation is the last generation, which shall see the rapture of the church, the revelation of the anti-Christ, and the start of the great tribulation:

The “fig tree” symbolizes the nation of Israel. Reading Ezekiel 38 with Luke leads us to believe that the coming of Jesus for his Church in the rapture will only happen after Israel is reborn as a nation and the fig tree not only comes back to life, as it did in 1948, but is in the full bloom of summer and ready for harvest. Israel is more prosperous than ever before in the summer of its nationhood, ready for harvest at any time. Jesus says that the generation who sees the fig tree budding will not pass away until all of these things take place. We are the generation who saw Israel as the fig tree reborn and budding.

So, What do you do now about this Bible prophecy?

What will you do with this information about the fulfillment of Bible prophecy?

Nothing?

Say it’s all a nonsensical fairy tale and the Bible is not true?

We have been indoctrinated to believe that traveling to far away planets is possible, living on other planets and in other solar systems is possible, that Star Wars and Star Trek is possible, that the Lord of the Rings is possible.

But, we deny the possibility that the Bible is actually the real Word of God Himself. Why?

Fulfillment of Bible Prophecy is God confirming his reality:

Bible prophecy is God’s calling card to us that He is as real as He says He is.

And, He says He is coming back and rapturing us out of this dying world to save us from His wrath, which He WILL pour out upon any inhabitants of this earth who do not accept His Son Jesus as their savior.

Prophecy is being fulfilled on a daily basis now:

Prophecy is being fulfilled every day, faster and faster than ever before. God is speaking through the fulfillment of Prophecy.

God is telling us to WAKE UP. OPEN OUR EYES. OPEN OUR EARS. SEE AND HEAR THE TRUTH.

How to get Saved by Jesus:

If this message has you wondering where you will go if the rapture happens and you miss it, or where you will spend eternity and die without Jesus as your Savior, and if you want to get saved, please check out our ABCs of Salvation page by clicking here.
